It's important to use small businesses for essential products- you can sometimes find your absolute favourite products with great ingredients.... you just have to look a little further

As you may be aware, some international top brands are made in very similar way to some smaller, lower priced brands.

You just have to know where to look to find the best products for your skin type, which to some can be a little daunting. So, when I got offered the chance to review these lesser known products, I was intrigued to see how they match up to the top sellers. These are the brands I have been trialling over the last couple of weeks and I'm pleased to say I've had incredible results from them.

Light Out Face & Space Mist, £18

I have really unconventionally used this product but reaped the benefits massively. So, this is a face mist which is supposed to be for winding down and tranquillity before bedtime but, I've really enjoyed spraying it on my face before my day starts.

Maybe it's the key ingredients used - Ashwagandha and Sandalwood with their calming, radiating blends, which have encouraged me to really just sit in the moment and enjoy my morning routines. The scent is beautiful (I'm a sucker for Sandalwood anyway), so this product really is a dual purpose - as I also use it to spray my pillow at night, too. That's what I like the most about this - it's gentle enough for my face and to spritz in the room.

This was a brand I'd seen a lot of hype around but hadn't really known why. The minute I started trialling the Marine Cream I started to realise what the fuss was about.

Wow. This is one of those creams that instantly makes your face breath the minute you apply it. I now wear it everyday, and have done since I received my package full of goodies from the cool brand.

Yes, it's a little more on the expensive side, but so worth it for just a small amount and everyday use. Transformulas products are available at Feel Unique and Amazon.

Kanzen Skincare are a product range, which at first, I have to be honest, I was not a major fan of. This was an observation I made based on the scent of the products. Once I had spent two to three weeks sporadically using the products I found the chlorine-like smell a little too much for my personal taste.

Little did I know that while my skin has been particularly glowy, because I am making a point of really looking after it in recent years - that Kanzen could have had quite effect. For my combination skin, I found the cleansers quite drying in certain areas, so I continued to only use them on my T Zone and wow what a difference!

They certainly haven't altered the texture or glowy skin I've mastered lately- and here's why. Kanzen Skincare have said of their range, "replicates a substance that our very own white blood cells produce, which does in fact contain chlorine."

The liquid is made with 100% natural ingredients and the fact that they have no preservatives, fragrances or colourants means the products are as pure and natural as they can be, and therefore have a natural chlorine scent that would be found in your very own cells. You can find their product range here.
