One John Lewis shopper said: "Obsessed with this shirt!"

John Lewis shoppers have fallen for a "beautiful" £39 shirt after spotting it online.

The luxurious department store was founded in 1864 and has ensured it remains a mainstay on the high street thanks to its extensive range of fashion, homeware, furniture, accessories, makeup and more. John Lewis stocks a variety of high end brands, as well as its own in-house products.

Like many companies, the retailer makes use of social media to maintain a connection with its shoppers, often sharing sneak peeks at upcoming products and unveiling new releases online. Recently, John Lewis caused a stir among fashion lovers after posting a photo of its Stripe Cotton Shirt in blue.

The shirt, which costs £39 comes in sizes eight to 20, in a stylish shade of pale blue. It's complete with an all-over stripe pattern. It can be purchased here.

The shirt proved popular among the brand's 999K followers, with the image racking up hundreds of likes and heaps of comments from besotted shoppers. One said: "Oh wow, what a beautiful shirt! Love those Levi's too". Fan Kate said: "Amazing blue". A third shopper said: "Beautiful".
